旧市庁舎広場

旧市庁舎前広場は、旧市庁舎が建設される前から存在しており、マーケットやお祝い事、時には処刑の場としても使われていました。現在ではこの広場で様々なイベントがおこなわれています。

タリン旧市庁舎 は、北ヨーロッパで唯一中世からの姿のまま残されており、1332年頃にこの広場に建てられたといわれています。その後、1402年から1404年の間に改修工事がおこなわれ、現在の外観となりました。

市議会薬局 は、開業当時より同じ場所にて営業を続けるヨーロッパに現存する最古の薬局です。市議会薬局は旧市庁舎前広場の一角にあります。文献によると1422年にはすでにこの場所に薬局があることが記されていますが、それ以前よりあったという見方もあります。

大ギルド会館 は、中世のタリンにおいて旧市庁舎に次ぐ2番目の大きさの建物です。大ギルドは、市内でも裕福な商人たちによって結成された組織で、会員たち共通の既得権保護などもその目的とされていました。タリン市長や市議会議員もこの大ギルドの会員の中から選ばれていました。

ブラックヘッドギルド会館 は、タリンで唯一ルネッサンス時代に建てられた建物です。ブラックヘッド組合は、まだギルドに入ることのできなかった若い独身商人たちが1399年に結成した組織です。この組織にはタリンに長く暮らしてさえいれば外国人の商人も加入することができました。
