Tallinn Card recommends in February
Planning a city break saves time and helps you to enjoy the whole experience. Tallinn Card is the perfect planning tool for active days for the whole family. In February there is lots of fun to be had outdoor and places to relax indoors. Choose between seeing attractions or excursions, active holiday making or trying local wares and handicraft. Skating around Old Town's outdoor ice rink is a fun filled way to enjoy the season in a romantic location. Uisuplats (skating rink) is on Harju street next to St. Nicholas' Church. If the exercise doesn't warm you up try some hot cocoa served at the rink's café. With Tallinn Card one hour free skating and skate rental. The best places to see the wall from outside is the Patkuli viewing platform on Toompea and Tornide väljak (Towers’ Square), a park area near Balti Jaam train station. It's also possible to take a closer look at the City Wall. A portion of the wall that’s open to the public connects Nunna, Sauna and Kuldjala towers. Visitors can climb up the stairs to imagine what it felt like to guard the town against would-be invaders. The wall is even more popular for its picturesque view of the red-tiled rooftops of the Old Town. With Tallinn Card free entrance. The Hop-on Hop-off Tallinn City Tour blue line takes you through the historic suburbs of Tallinn to Rocca al Mare, where you can visit the Estonian Open Air Museum, the zoo and a shopping centre. Estonian Open Air Museum lets you travel back in time to the rural Estonia of old. The vast, forested park is filled with thatched, 18 and 20th-century farm buildings, windmills, a wooden chapel and a village school, with staff demonstrating how people lived and worked in times past. The village is especially beautiful at winter time. Bus tour and museum visit are free of charge with Tallinn Card. Take the stairs to the roof for a picture-postcard view of the harbour and the Old Town. With Tallinn Card free entrance. Estonian Puppet and Youth Theatre has always captivated audiences of all ages with its imaginative stories and colourful characters.
