Artistic juices have been flowing in Tallinn for a long time. Even as far back as the 15th century, Estonian-born painter Michael Sittow was travelling Europe creating portraits for the Hapsburg royalty. Today the city is home to a thriving art scene that ranges from traditional, folk handicraft to modern home designs to edgy installation works.
