Social networking of the Swedes


Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau (TCTO&CB) launched its first ever web and social networking campaign in Sweden between November 16 – 29, 2009.

The campaign goal was to attract visitors to Tallinn as a great place to go for short breaks, spas and relaxation on the web page www.semester.tallinn.ee and on Facebook. The target group were Stockholmers and their suburbanites. The winter campaign focused on seasonal events in the city as well as relaxing spa and accommodation opportunities using popular social network site Facebook and Google Adwords.

The campaign web page collected 2336 visits. Facebook page “Underbara Tallinn(Wonderful Tallinn)” collected 320 fans of whom 70 per cent were aged between 25 and 44 years. At last count “Underbara Tallinn” has 642 fans.
