Season of travel fairs kicks off for 2010


The travel fair season began in the second week of the 2010. 

Tallinn took its place among exhibitors at Reiseliv2010 (14.-17.01.2010) in Oslo, Lillestrøm. A total of 162 nations were represented and 33 328 people visited this year’s Norway International Meeting and Travel Fair (Reiseliv). According to Project manager, Torill Engelberg of Norges Varemesse this is a 10% increase from 2009.
The Estonian Tourist Board stand, which included Tallinn, won the prize for best international stand.

Tallinn was recently showcased at the Northern Europe’s biggest travel trade event Matka 2010 (21.-24.01.2010) in Helsinki, Finland. This year saw 81 537 visitors -compared to 85 984 visitors in 2009- of which around 18 000 were travel professionals.

Tallinn is also promoting itself at, TUR in Gothenburg, Sweden, EIBTM in Barcelona, Spain and IMEX in Frankfurt, Germany, COTTM in Beijing, China, JATA in Tokyo, Japan, BTC in Rome, Italy and WTM in London, United Kingdom.
