Changes on border crossing from Estonia to Russia

As of August 1, 2011 there will be changes in the Estonian – Russian border crossing procedures.

A new online based border crossing queue system GoSwift will be in place on all land border posts in the Republic of Estonia (Narva, Koidula, Luhamaa) towards Russia and is obligatory for all motor vehicles. The new system will help make border crossings between Estonia and Russia more comfortable and delay-free. Near these three border crossings new waiting areas will be available for the drivers.

Pre-booked border crossing requests at www.estonianborder.eu or by phone +372 6 989 192 are available in Estonian, Russian and English and bookings can be made 90 days in advance.

A vehicle with no pre-booking can register border crossing on live queue at the self service kiosks at the waiting area or with the help of a waiting area service personnel.
