Birgitta Festival
Time: August 9 - 18 Location: St. Bridget’s Convent ruins The annual event, set among the Medieval ruins of St. Bridget’s Convent ruins will, in the ambient evenings of August, bring a variety of performers and different styles of music. The Brigitta festival opens with a well-known opera Faust by Charles Gounod. North Opera from UK brings opera by Benjamin Britten “Albert Herring” to the stage. Local composer Olav Ehala treats the public with musical “Arabella”. The Kremlin Ballet from Moscow brings a ballet “Figaro” and Pjotr Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Sleeping Beauty” with them.
